Patterns & Promotions

Welcome ! Karibu!

Welcome to our page dedicated to promoting crochet skills through partnerships and of course friendships.

While you are here, we welcome you to read through these free patterns and download for FREE before we close the free zone at the end of this month – March 30th 2021.

UPDATE: Free promotion closed now, access all of Morine’s Patterns from her blog – Morine’s blog.

We have so many people struggling to read patterns and with this page, we hope we can teach you more on how to read and understand patterns because it is so satifying when you realise the wealth of information written in magazines and books and dont have to go to Youtube to watch an instruction. But, I guess that is for the intermediate stage of the skill.

So, welcome, dont forget to give our dear Morine a shout out on her blog and support her work. I think she is one of the few Kenyans who write their own patterns.

We will also appreciate a review on what you think of the patterns.

For the Safety Eyes and the Fibre for filling, these we are not providing but can get them at Biashara Street at any Haberdashery shop along that street or Yaya Center, 2nd Floor at the Bows and Buttons Shop or call them 0787 796704.

KAVALUKU THE BUNNY

Isn’t Morine a Darling? I am lost for words. She has gone all out to write free patterns for our followers and friends in February and March promoting our Needles Acrylic Brand Yarn. This little creature got a Kamba name – Kavaluku , the bunny. She is so cute and exudes the aaaaawwww effect when you see her. Imagine the satisfaction in making her and keeping her for yourself! Ah, the joys of making new things. we would really appreciate a thank you or a comment down below or on Morine’s IG page. Guys, make her feel appreciated. Its a lot of work to put together a pattern, let alone give it for free in this month of March.

CACTIVAE THE CACTUS GIRL

For the months of February and March 2021 we have collaborated with Morine’s Shop to create unique toy patterns and promote our new acrylic yarn brand that we are selling called NEEDLES. Morine is a Kenyan crocheter and crafter who has created various designs for toys and accessories.

The yarn is 8 ply (Although we personally think its 4 ply worsted weight), soft, about 160meters in length and is anti-pilling. We have had opportunities of making items from this yarn and it has superb texture especially if you have loose stitching. Finished products are easy to wash, maintain and also store.

The pattern we are introducing is Cactivae the Cactus girl. She is shy, very pretty, has solid colours to brighten her look and she can be both decorative as well as interactive for children. She is made from 4 colours:-

  1. Leafy Green 2. Hot Pink 3. Chocolate 4. Iced Mint.

The yarn is going for KES 220 per piece. Just send us a message here: +254112453467 and we will respond with availability of the yarn. Morine used these colours to make beautiful Cactivae!

Needles Acrylic Yarn, Pack of 4

The pattern is downloadable during the same period 14th February to 30th March 2021 here. After 30th March, it will become a paid for pattern under Morine’s Shop blog.
